Niyati Patel (Founder, CEO, Director of Science)
Niyati is a highschool sophomore from South Brunswick, New Jersey. She founded Lifelong Ladders because she was introduced to the Education Gap in America. She tutored kids who come from such low income families and children who are at-risk, and from hearing stories of them and their friends the face of inequality in the world became present to her. She started Lifelong Ladders to bring students together who can bring eachother up, so that as adults we all have a fair chance. Niyati has a heavy background in science, as well as advocacy, in which she has one many awards and honors. In her freetime, she loves to volunteer in her community, learn new things, and hangout with her friends!
Sowmya Joshi (COO, Director of Outreach)
Sowmya is a high school junior from South Brunswick, New Jersey. She has volunteered for many organizations and loves to work with children. In her free time she loves to read, run, and swim. She hopes to have a future in genetics or work involving coding. She is determined to help Lifelong Ladders with its mission.
Kapil Rajpopat (Director of Technology)
Kapil is a junior in highschool from Dayton, New Jersey. He has worked with computers and technology for several years, and he’s done volunteering work at his local library and puts his best effort in school, yet also makes sure to keep time for himself and his friends. Kapil aspires to enjoy himself no matter what he’s doing, and hopes to gain a career working with programming. He spends his free time going out to meet up with his neighborhood friends, cooking, and maintaining a physically active lifestyle.
Mia McKeown (Director of Literature)
Mia is a high school senior from Minooka, Illinois. She helps coach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and volunteers as a tutor for Learn to Be. In her free time, Mia likes to read, write short stories, and go on hikes with her family. She is passionate about education and aims to major in ESL.
Sana Rahman (CIO, Director of Mathematics)
Sana is a high school junior from South Brunswick, New Jersey. She currently acts as the CIO and director of mathematical education. She was driven to apply herself to the role of CIO due to her passion for applying creative thinking and the role of director after spending two years assistant teaching children. She enjoys spending her free time reading crime novels and aspires to pursue a career in the medical field.
Aarya Katakam (Director of Technology Communications)
Aarya is a sophomore at the Middlesex County Academy of Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences. He is a very focused student in school but still makes sure to have fun. He has worked with many other tutoring companies and helped in the technological department so he has experience. He likes to play basketball and volleyball and is an avid reader.
Anirudh Pottammal (Director of History)
Anirudh is a high school junior from South Brunswick, New Jersey. He loves learning new information about various subjects, and he enjoys working with younger children. He is very interested in topics such as history, astronomy, physics, and mathematics. Anirudh spends his free time learning new information about these topics, volunteering for various events, and being physically active every day. He is aspiring to be an astrophysicist in the future.
Crystal Su (Director of Social Media)
Crystal is a high school junior from Livingston, NJ. She is interested in science and music. She started her small business in 2016 on Etsy and Mercari and has sold over 10,000 products. She also has a corresponding Instagram account with over 300,000 followers where she advertises her products. She plays the piano and has organized several charity concerts where she has donated the raised funds to local cancer foundations. Along with piano, she plays the viola and is a part of her high school's advanced orchestra. In her free time, she enjoys baking, photography, and running. She is excited to join Lifelong Ladders and help break America's educational barriers.
